Bespoke Hats

If you are interested in a bespoke hat - contact me for an initial design consultation where we will discuss all your ideas.

I make bespoke for Raceday, special occasions, straw and felt hats.

Bespoke hats are made in order of confirmed orders received. Once I have recieved your deposit of $200, your order is confirmed.

So that you know, your creation takes 3-4 weeks (especially in summer) to complete. If you have a time-sensitive order, please make sure to keep this in mind.

If I have to order materials for your bespoke creation, this could add three to six weeks to the timeframe of your hat but I will discuss this with you at the initial consultation.

Please feel free to contact me by phone or email if you need to check any time constraints etc, before ordering.

When you decide to continue, I will then go ahead and schedule a full design consultation. We can do this online or at the Atelier Royale Studio, Dunedin. This will be a collaborative discussion where we discuss the use of materials, colours, crown shape, brim width, and confirm other details.  If you live out of the area, you will be sent samples of colours, trims, and band sizes. If you are matching a particular garment, if you can send a sample of the fabric, this is very helpful.

Once you have decided on the design elements, I will write a design sheet for you to check. As I progress with the hat I will send you updates and photos.

If you have a major change of design after the design sheet has been agreed on, this will require consultation and agreement. Depending on the required changes there may be an additional cost, which I will let you know.
